FIT students are placed in one of three levels in the writing program – ES 023/024
English as a Second Language Workshop, ES 123 English as a Second Language, or EN 131 English
Composition. Upon passing EN 131, students must take either EN 231 Short Fiction or EN 242 Public
Speaking. Completing this sequence will satisfy the writing requirements at FIT.
FIT Bridge Program Overview
This program is designed exclusively for students early admitted to the FIT programs
beginning in the Fall semester at SUNY Korea. This program offers students the opportunity to
prepare for their college journey during the Spring semester.
Through the FIT Bridge Program, students gain a valuable head start before entering
their degree studies. The program helps participant strengthen academic English skills, develop
effective study habits, and adjust to college life in an international environment. By joining the
program, students can stay academically engaged, build confidence for their upcoming FIT coursework,
and begin their college experience without a gap between high school graduation and university.
