Dr. Myung Oh aired on Industrial Broadcast Channel Dr. Myung Oh, the Honorary President of SUNY Korea, was introduced in a documentary program (산업방송 채널 i) as a leading figure in constructing the infrastructure of the nation as a world-leading ICT powerhouse. Dr. Myung Oh, a leader who transforms the world, rewrote the Information and Communication chapter of Korean history as he developed TDX, a 4 mega-D Ram semiconductor, and a computerized system for the 1988 Olympics. Some other achievements of SUNY Korea’s Honorary President are successfully hosting the Taejon World Exposition and establishing Korea Railroad Research Institute and Incheon International Airport. *To watch the documentary: Click here

more Summer 2021 Korea JoongAng Daily Journalism Internship Ten SUNY Korea students (SBU and FIT) are on a one-week internship program with the Korea JoongAng Daily Newspaper from July 5-9. Korea JoongAng Daily Newspaper is the only global, local English newspaper in Korea that issues articles from both JoongAng Ilbo and International New York Times. This program was organized by SUNY Korea CDC in collaboration with Korea JoongAng Daily to provide students a chance to explore careers in journalism, media and marketing. The participants will not only experience the process of producing a newspaper, but also meet respected reporters and editors at the JoongAng Daily. At the end of the internship, students will publish their articles for printing and earn an internship completion certificate.

SUNY Korea, a successful case in Songdo SUNY Korea was recently introduced as a case of a successfully established institution in a journal published by IFEZ. SUNY Korea closely collaborated with IFEZ, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Education on establishing an institution with quality of education. As a result, in 2017, Stony Brook University received a rating of “very good” in every category (business management, education infrastructure, utilization, and self-reliance) of performance evaluation.
